On October 1, 2001, the first U. S. files of Daltons were posted on the Data Bank. They were files for Idaho and for Wyoming. These were relatively short files since statehood and migration came later in the 19th Century. In the ensuing years more state files were posted, and the Data Bank now contains Dalton information for all 50 States. Today, the USA Section of the Data Bank contains in excess of 60,000 entries, not including the related Ship and newspaper extracts. Many thanks are extended to the volunteers throughout the United States and their oustanding efforts in colleting this data.
