* RD= Registration District. Richard Dalton, RIC Constable, native of Co. Kerry, stationed in Co. Mayo, married Maria Stuart of Co. Clare on 6 Nov. 1854.

20 Aug. 1885: Joseph Dalton at Strand Hill, Killaspughbrone, Sligo RD; age 29, national school teacher.
1796: Hugh Dalton, Irish flax grower of Dromard Parish, Tierragh Barony, Dromore West Poor Law Union, entitled to one spinning wheel.
1834: A Mr. Dalton was a national school teacher at Carrowmore, Kilmaconan Parish, Sligo Poor Law Union. The schoolhouse was renovated in 1994 and made into a school museum.
